Driver training is an important aspect in the battle to increase road safety. By offering a range of driving courses, the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve is striving to improve the individual capacity of drivers to deal with the various situations they may encounter on the roads every day.
Briefing / Theory
Introduction to our staff and a short presentation of the agenda, theory, technical aspects and details of exercises and vehicles. Theoretical introduction to relevant features of the circuit and how to master them.

Exercise 1 “Dynamic Control”
The objective is to complete the circuit without touching the cones. The track will have areas of low grip with the objective of simulating an extreme real life situation. This exercise will allow the trainee to develop reflexes, improve agility and control of the car. This exercise is carried out over one sighting lap and one timed lap.
Location: Paddock area 1 (Track with cones)
Exercise 2 “Drift Control”
This is where you get to test and demonstrate your ability to control the vehicle. The objective is to control the skidding car after forcing the vehicle into a skid.
Location: Drift Pad
Exercise 3 “Moose Test”
A moose test is a test to determine how a certain vehicle acts when the driver evades a suddenly appearing obstacle (such as a moose on the road). This is an excellent exercise that allows you to improve your ability to control the car, in an emergency situation that could occur on the road. Two laps at different speeds.
Location: Drift Pad
Exercise 4 “Track introduction”
Your first chance on track to see and drive the ideal trajectory of this challenging circuit. The first lap will be made as a passenger beside one of our professional instructors, then it’s your turn at the wheel for 4 laps under instructor supervision.
Location: Circuit (FIA configuration)
Exercise 5 “Track introduction 2”
You will drive 4 laps at the wheel, always under instructor supervision and in a different car to the first exercise.

When arriving at Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, we will be welcoming you at the Info Point, in the main building. From there, you will be escorted to the right facility. We advise you to arrive at least 30 minutes before the driving experience’s beginning.
All driving experiences which appear on the website are subject to availability.
All drivers must be aged at least 18 and without any medical condition which may affect their ability to drive the car/motorcycle. A valid driving licence must be presented before any driving experience.
Any use of a mobile phone, camera or pda is not allowed during the driving experience. We can provide photographic or video coverage of your experience allowing you to be completely focused on it.
A driving experience can be canceled within 2 days, from the day on which you acquire it.
