FAQs

ACCESS, TRANSPORT AND PARKING

Arrive at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve with some advance time. Allow extra time to locate your car park, find a parking space, and walk to your designated grandstand and seat. The Autódromo has prepared several open-air car and motorcycle parks. Please refer to the attached map to identify the parking area closest to your grandstand. Car parks are located between 10 and 30 minutes on foot from the circuit, so we advise you to choose the car park nearest your stand to minimise walking time. Car and motorbike access and parking are free of charge, and no parking permit is required. Please note that no organised transport is provided to the Circuit, so access must be made by private vehicle, parking in the designated areas surrounding the venue as shown on the map. There is no organised transport from the car parks to the grandstand areas, and no internal shuttle system around the circuit gates.

OPENING HOURS

Gates for Grandstands, VIP Tower and Paddock Tunnel open at 08:30 on all three event days. Please consult the official SUPERBIKE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP website for detailed schedules and latest updates (practice sessions, qualifying rounds, support races, press conferences, and special events – content managed by DORNA/WSBK).

REDUCED MOBILITY

If you have purchased a ticket for the Main Grandstand and hold a valid reduced mobility parking permit, a reserved parking space will be available. Please note: for safety reasons (especially regarding emergency evacuation), there is no access for reduced mobility ticket holders in other grandstands.

GRANDSTANDS AND ACCESS GATES

Refer to the map to locate your grandstand and the corresponding access gate. The access system in place is as follows: North, Lagos, Portimão and Portimão 2 Grandstands: Gate 4 Main Grandstand (Upper & Lower levels): Gate M Paddock: Access via tunnel (south of the AIA Shop) only Tickets for Reduced Mobility provide access to the Main Grandstand only (Gate M). Paddock and VIP Tower ticket holders may enter through any active gate (Tunnel, Gate M or Gate 4).

FOOD, IMAGES & OTHER RULES

Please refer to your ticket for full details of all rules. At the Circuit entrance, security staff will scan tickets electronically using barcode readers. The barcode contains personal information provided during the ticket purchase, so spectators must bring valid ID when entering the circuit. Inside the circuit, signage and staff will help direct you to your allocated seat and manage crowd flow. Anyone who refuses to follow staff instructions, is visibly under the influence of illegal substances or alcohol, or behaves inappropriately in a way that endangers the safety and wellbeing of others may be removed from the venue without refund. Professional image capture is not permitted. Cameras or video equipment with lenses over 200mm (fixed or detachable), or any professional recording devices not intended for private use, are prohibited, including tripods. Helmets may be taken into the grandstands. There is no official helmet storage on site. Likewise, there are no facilities for storing equipment, and bringing such items is at your own risk. Only small individual containers such as a personal bag, backpack or handbag are permitted. As in other sports and recreational events (e.g. football stadiums), food and drink entry is restricted. You may bring food and drink only in individual quantities (e.g. a bottle, sandwich, fruit or snack). For security reasons, authorities may require that bottles be brought in without caps. Several food and drink outlets are available throughout the grandstands. While not all food options will be available at every stand due to logistics, there will be various options at each.

ENTRY OF MINORS

Under Portuguese law, children under 3 are not allowed entry. ID may be requested at the entrance to verify age. Children must be accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket and present a valid child ticket. Without ID, valid child ticket and adult supervision, entry will be denied.

SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES

We are committed to sustainability, biodiversity, and reducing our carbon footprint. Initiatives include the use of solar energy and e-ticketing to reduce paper usage. Cashless Payments – We will provide specific points for you to collect your cashless wristband, which will be the only accepted method of payment for food and drink inside the circuit. Reusable Cups – Available for a symbolic €1 fee. AIA-branded reusable cups may be returned at designated collection points, according to the terms available on-site.
