About the program
The Algarve International Circuit is developing a volunteer program to support its major sporting events.
Volunteers join teams with defined roles, receive training beforehand and support event operations across several areas, from welcoming the public to sustainability.
The program is developed in partnership with the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth (IPDJ), as part of the «Agora Nós» Youth Volunteering Program.
Volunteer areas
Welcome and information
Welcoming the public, information points and visitor guidance.
Grandstands and fan zone
Supporting the public in the grandstands, activities and entertainment areas.
Sustainability
Supporting environmental initiatives and raising public awareness.
Mobility and parking
Directing vehicles and supporting circulation around the venue.
Accessibility
Supporting visitors with specific accessibility needs.
Requirements
- Availability on the event days
- Availability for the mandatory training beforehand
- English skills, to communicate with international visitors
- Minimum age of 16
Volunteering is unpaid. Volunteers receive a uniform, meals during shifts, certified training and a certificate of participation.
