It is a complex dedicated to motorsport, bringing together the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, the Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve, and other facilities that provide all the conditions for unique driving experiences.

The inaugural race at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve took place on 2 November 2008, with the final round of that year’s Superbike World Championship.

At the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, you will find a wide range of facilities within the same area: the main racing track, karting track, off-road park, hotel, apartments, technology park, and sports complex.

On our website, you can find full information about each facility, the activities taking place, and purchase a variety of motor experiences to enjoy at our Racing School.

The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve has nine grandstands, each served by a dedicated access gate. The gate colour matches the grandstand colour and is the only gate through which your ticket allows entry.

All grandstands and respective gates are clearly marked both on the ticket and onsite. Service areas such as toilets and food and beverage points are also well signposted.

Giant screens are placed close to each grandstand so that spectators can follow the live race broadcast across various areas of the circuit.

On event days, especially on Sunday, 9 November, a very large number of people and vehicles are expected at the Circuit. To avoid long waits in possible traffic queues, please arrive several hours in advance. Allow additional time to find a parking space and to walk to your grandstand and allocated seat. Plan ahead to make sure you have the best possible experience and don’t miss any of the practice sessions or races.

The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve has prepared several dirt car parks and one tarmac car park for visitors to park their cars or motorbikes.

Access to the car park closest to the Main Grandstand is reserved exclusively for those purchasing a parking permit, available soon. Access to all other designated car parks is free of charge.

If you choose the Main Grandstand car park, it is impossible to park any closer to the circuit!

The remaining car parks are located between 10 and 30 minutes on foot from the circuit. We recommend choosing the car park closest to your grandstand to avoid extending your walking time. A full map of the complex is provided below so you can select your paid parking area.

The parking permit, which must be clearly displayed in your vehicle, will be sent to you by email at the time of purchase (no permit is required for the free car parks).

Free parking areas will be available in Portimão and Lagos (subject to maximum capacity), from which free shuttles will operate to the Algarve International Circuit. Locations of the car parks will be announced shortly.

Simply present your ticket to access the shuttles.

Please note that parking spaces are not allocated and are subject to availability. We remind you that parking spaces at the circuit will not be sold onsite and must be purchased in advance here.

Access will not be granted to vehicles without a paid parking permit. Please keep your proof of purchase with you.

Spectators will have two options for reaching the circuit:

  • By shuttle bus – Dedicated, exclusive, and free shuttles will operate from Portimão and Albufeira (locations to be confirmed). These may be used upon presentation of your pass or ticket. Services are expected to begin at 07:00 on event days, with departures approximately every 30 minutes. At the end of each day, once the programme finishes, the shuttles will return spectators to Portimão and Albufeira.

  • By private vehicle – Parking is available in designated areas around the venue as shown on the map above (paid parking required for the Main Grandstand, free for other locations).

To access the Algarve International Circuit more easily, please follow the directions according to your car park colour code.

All car parks at the AIA venue will have permanent security staff and personnel available to inform spectators about capacity and availability. Opening hours are from 07:00 until two hours after the event ends.

The sale and consumption of alcohol will not be permitted in the grandstands, only in designated areas outside the circuit, namely near the Main Grandstand.

At the circuit gates, security staff will process entry by scanning barcodes electronically. These codes contain the information provided at the time of ticket purchase, so spectators must bring personal identification with them to enter the circuit.

Once inside the circuit, signage will guide spectators to their grandstand and allocated seat, with staff also available for assistance.

Spectators who fail to comply with venue rules and staff instructions may be asked to leave the circuit without the right to a ticket refund. Likewise, if a spectator is found to be visibly under the influence of illicit substances, alcohol, or behaves inappropriately in a way that jeopardises the safety and well-being of the event and other spectators, they may also be asked to leave the venue without the right to a refund.

The venue will close each day at approximately (time to be confirmed) after the event has ended. Spectators are advised to leave calmly. Signage will assist spectators in exiting their grandstand and seat, with staff helping to control the flow.
