stands and entrance doors
The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve has 11 different grandstands, each served by an entrance door. The colour of the entrance door corresponds to the colour of the grandstand and is the only entrance through which your ticket allows access.
The map below shows the grandstands and respective entrances, as well as service areas such as toilets, food and drink outlets and the approximate location of the giant screens placed to watch the races in the various areas of the circuit.
There will be a search policy in place, please bring only necessary baggage into the circuit. This will ensure a smooth and timely entrance.
parking and transportation
On the days of the event, but especially on Sunday, November 7, the flow of vehicles and people to the Circuit will be very strong. To avoid long queues, arrive at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve a few hours in advance. Also count on the time to find the car park, to search for a place in the car park and for the journey on foot to your grandstand and seat. Don’t facilitate, so that your experience is the best possible and you can attend all the practices and races of the programme.
The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve has prepared several unpaved and one asphalt car parks where you can park your car or motorbike.
Access and parking for cars is reserved exclusively to those who purchase the parking pass, available here. The access for motorbikes is free and can only be made in the parks marked on the map below.
There is also a car park, next to the Main Grandstand, of asphalt, where you can buy parking permits for cars or motorbikes.
If you choose the main grandstand car park, it is impossible to park any closer to the circuit! The other car parks are between 10 and 20 minutes walk from the circuit, so we advise you to choose the car park in the area of your grandstand so that this time is not increased.
Below you have a map of the whole complex, so you can choose your paid park and make the purchase here. The badge to be affixed to your vehicle will be sent to you at home in the weeks prior to the race (no badge is required for bikes in the free parks).
Free parking will be available in Portimão (subject to maximum capacity), from which free shuttles will depart to the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve. In due course we will disclose the locations of the parks. Just present your ticket to access the shuttles.
There is also a caravan park, for which you can purchase a ticket here.
Please note that parking spaces are not marked and are subject to availability. We remind you that parking spaces will not be sold on the circuit, so they must be bought in advance here. Please note that parking space online sales will close on 17 October. After that, only in the Helpdesk AIA at Portimão in the event’s week. Cars without a paid parking permit will not be allowed access. Please keep your proof of purchase with you.
The paid parking sticker will not be sent to addresses outside of Portugal. You must collect your sticker from the Helpdesk AIA in Portimão.
Spectators will have two ways to reach the circuit:
– Through dedicated, exclusive and free shuttles that can be used upon presentation of the pass or ticket, from Portimão, in places that we will indicate in due course. The shuttles will start at 7am on the days of the event and will leave at 30 minute intervals. At the end of each day, after the end of the day’s programme, the shuttles will operate to take spectators back to Portimão. In the shuttles, the use of masks is compulsory at all times.
– By own car, parking in the car parks available around the venue according to the map above (with compulsory purchase of a parking space for cars and free for motorbikes, except for the Main Grandstand car park).
All parks in the AIA venue will have permanent security staff and staff to inform spectators of the capacity and availability of each park. Their opening hours are from 07 am until two hours after the event finishes.
No alcohol will be sold or consumed on the stands.
At the gates of the circuit, the Security Staff will ensure social distancing in the waiting areas and will process the entries by checking the tickets electronically with barcode readers and reading the COVID UE Digital Certificates or test certificates. The barcodes will have the information previously given to the organization when purchasing the tickets, so spectators must have their personal identification at the entrance of the circuit.
After entering the circuit, there is signage to help spectators get to their allocated stand and seat, as well as Staff to control the flow.
The use of the mask in all the enclosure is compulsory. If spectators do not respect the instructions of the Staff and the health protocol, they may be asked to leave the venue, with no right to refund the value of the ticket. Similarly, if the spectator is visibly under the influence of illicit substances, alcohol or shows inappropriate behavior that puts the welfare and safety of the event and other spectators in question, may be asked to leave the enclosure, with no right to refund the value of the ticket.
The venue will close around 5.45pm, after the event finishes, so spectators are advised to be calm when leaving. There are signs to help spectators leave their seats and stands, as well as staff to control the flow and ensure social distancing.
The use of the mask in all the enclosure is mandatory.
